Using the Allied Teleysn AT-FS709FC Fiber Switch was found to be a practical method of breaking the 325 foot limitation for Category-5 Cabling. The same solution was used in Warehouse operations at he Edison NJ facility and the Memphis Consolidation Facility for reaching the Remote Radio Frequency Terminals at each location.

The Allied Telelysn Fiber Switch has been our most successful new product of the year. At less than $400 it provides switched routing and Automatic 10/100 switching for network access applications requiring Fiber Optic Connections at distances up to 2 kilometers. The Switch is especially relevant for manufacturers or warehouse applications that need to reach distances exceeding the 100 Meters or 325 Feet distance limitations of Category-5 cabling. This is an 8 port 10/100 auto-negotiating unmanaged switch with 100FX fiber (SC) uplink, available for desktop or rackmount use.
